Redirect loops when passing Multisite setup to localhost

    I’m trying to run a Multisite network on localhost, using the Mac OS X (10.6.6) native Web Server — both PHP and MySQL are running and the database connection was established, even though I’m getting this redirect loop and nothing happens.

    I already checked both my /etc/hosts and my /etc/apache2/httpd.conf files and everything seems to be fine. Also, I double checked my wp-config.php and all my database tables are updated for the localhost. There’s nothing special on my .htaccess. Any suggestions on how to understand how this loop is being generated?
