Redirect loop problem on WordPress install

Hi,

I’ve come across some other people having similar issues but the remedies listed don’t seem to be working for me (changing the .htaccess file, clearing cache, for instance).

I updated the wp-config.php file with my settings and when I go to run my website url.com/index.php (it’s installed in the root), I get the “This webpage has a redirect loop” error. Could the problem be related to the fact that there is currently a WordPress install running in a subfolder?

Any help is appreciated.
