Recover password error

Hi,

I’m testing your plugin and everything seems to be ok except recover password. When I try to recover password this is what I get:

Warning: Missing argument 4 for BNFW::change_password_email_message() in /home/bcim/ftp/bcim/lms_full/wp-content/plugins/bnfw/bnfw.php on line 338

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/bcim/ftp/bcim/lms_full/wp-content/plugins/bnfw/bnfw.php:338) in /home/bcim/ftp/bcim/lms_full/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1207

The email is beeig send but when I try to set a new password i get info that my reset password link is invalid.

I use WP + Buddypress + Theme My Login.

Thanks for your message.

There was some fairly serious changes made to the password recovery function in WordPress 4.3. Can you confirm that you’re using the latest version of WordPress and the latest version of BNFW?

Can you also confirm that you’re not using multisite?

I use:
WP 4.3.1
BNWP 1.3.5

I don’t use multisite. I use bunch of other plugins but non of them should influence login or password recovery.

Ok, thanks.

It sounds like a plugin conflict to me as BuddyPress and Theme My Login both have some integration with the password recovery function in WordPress.

What I recommend, is to go through this support guide and test at each stage: https://betternotificationsforwp.com/how-can-i-receive-the-best-support/

This should narrow down the issue dramatically and will allow me to help you further.

Ok, glad you found the culprit.
Are you using the latest version of TML?

I know some other users have reported issues with the TML plugin too.

In my case TML without BNWP works fine, same as BNWP without TML, and the error massage reffers to link building in BNWP. I’m not an expert.

So there is no sollution to this problem?

There might be – I plan on looking at this in more detail in the next version of BNFW after Christmas.
Have you contacted Theme My Login regarding the issue too? Whilst the error is coming from BNFW, it’s because of a conflict with TML – without it, it works correctly.
