Is it just me or has the most recent update just broken the theme?

I have noticed that the widget Parallax Section for FrontPage doesn’t work. The image position is set to Full Background, but it’s not displayed.

Appears to have also broken excerpts, changed font color, defaulted to a grid structure, and added the featured image to the top of category/ post pages.

Major changes are made in the theme to adhere it to the WordPress theme standards.
