did you read this already?

you may see a little recaptcha icon at the bottom of your screen
Hi, judgerookie. Thanks for this. There is indeed a small recaptcha button at the bottom of my screen. But does this mean that i don’t have to click on it? So is it checking who submits the forms?
regards
Henk
that’s my understanding from google who do the reCAPTCHA

Hi, probably i missed something. On my site http://www.sksmeppel.nl i now this recaptcha button. But is there anything i have more to do? Because on the form i can enter everything i just want.
you’ve done everything as far as I can see and the little reCAPTCHA icon is at the bottom, if you hover on it, it will expand to show it’s working.
This is what google is doing;
‘reCAPTCHA uses an advanced risk analysis engine and adaptive challenges to keep automated software from engaging in abusive activities on your site. It does this while letting your valid users pass through with ease.’
Hi judgerookie. Still we are receiving mails that we really don’t want. The recaptcha is not doing a lof (it seems). The contactform i am using is not working anymore with captcha. Could you advice on another contactform that is working with captcha?
you could revert to an earlier version of contact form 7 and so use the old style reCAPTCHA

Hi i just found this:
Contact Form 7 5.1.1 has just been released. This release makes improvements to the server side validation process of reCAPTCHA.
If you use reCAPTCHA v3 with Contact Form 7 5.1 and feel that you get more spam through contact forms than before, upgrading to 5.1.1 might relieve the situation.
But, please read through this post before you run an upgrade. This is an important notice.
regards
H.
