Sorry if this question doesn’t fit in with the idea of this forum. But since I’m new here…

I just installed WordPress 5.9.2 . Works just fine. I also added a couple of plugins. Works just fine.

My question: for a real real newbie in the WordPress area, which plugins would you recommend as “indispensible”, “the best of the best”, “should belong to the core”? Obviously, I’m looking for the most important, most widely used, most highly acclaimed general purpose plugins, which I definitely cannot do without. Of course I know this depends on my own particular goals and on what type of site I (plan to) have. But even without knowing that: which plugins actually make the WordPress world go round?

    Thanks!

As you already mentioned depends on my own particular goals
so it’s based on all your goal and type of sites, there is no belong-to-core kind of thing or must-have plugin without a goal.

But you as a newbie, I will suggest exploring these plugins
WooCommerce, Query Monitor, Advance Custom Field, Contact Form 7, WP Forms, WP Rollback, WP Downgrade, Duplicate Page, and the list goes on.

    It’s all depends on need.
