  • Which page is your “blog page”?

There’s a comment form on your Home page’s post but, given that you seem to have set the number of posts per page to 1 and don’t have any “Next Post/Previous Post” pagination, visitors will need use your Archive listings to select individual posts. The comment forms are then on the single post pages.

I designated my blog page as “Dr. Scopellit blog”, the URL for the page is: http://dcneuro.net/wordpress/?page_id=6. This works.

The “next” and “previous” posts links do appear on the blog page, however, they do not seem to work as the same page comes up when you click them.

I have my appearance set for summary rather then full post, yet the full posts appear on the blog page, and as per above, I cant navigate to the next page.

OK, I figured out how to remove the comments from all of my pages. For some reason, my previous and next page buttons on the bottom of my blog page still do not function, (http://dcneuro.net/wordpress/?page_id=6). Also, if I click on any month in my archives section on the bottom, it always goes to the wrong page. Not sure what is happening here as this is not something which I set up.

That controls your RSS feeds – not your displayed posts.

If your index.php uses a custom query (e.g. query_posts), it probably needs amending to including a paging variable.

Again, this could be an issue with a custom query. Have you tried switching to the default theme to confirm that these are theme-specific problems?

No, but that is a good suggestion. I was concerned to try that being new to word-press as I didn’t want to loose all of the work I have done transferring content over the past several days. I will give that a shot.

    Thanks.

Aye yi yi! The Previous and Next do work in the default theme. However, now my comments disappeared on my “Patient Testimonial page! They are obviously still in there as they appear in the dashboard “comments” editor.

So if I want to continue to use this theme, (underwater), I noticed there was some cut and paste code in the help pages. Is this what I use to make the next/previous work? I don’t want to just start messing with the code without ascertaining what I am doing as that will create more problems.

I’ve no idea what the code in the theme’s Help page is. I’d suggest checking through your index.php file for query_posts and post just those few lines here.

I touched base with the author of this theme and it apparently has a known bug for which he is posting a fix for this week.

Can anyone help me. The comments box does not show up on the Home page or where my posts go however it is on every other page. Everything seems to be set up correct on comments and yet I cannot get the box to show up there, it makes me want to throw a tantrum. lol Thank you so much for any help. The site is http://www.tonygoff.com. Thanks again. Tony
