“re post” option

Hello
I would like to ask about the “re post” or update option
I’m going to change\update many of my post URL address.
I have already publish this posts in a different social media such as: Facebook etc.
In case that I update my post URL and choose the option of: re post, does the URL address is updated or the “whole post” is published again
