• I will be moving my WordPress site to another domain soon. I am using the Simple Membership plugin and with it I have currently 26 members. I plan to delete the current site and just do the new one from scratch since I am aiming for a totally new design. Once I install the Simple Membership plugin again, I will need to re-populate it’s member list with my original 26 members who signed up on the old site. I was looking at the Member Data Exporter Addon to do this, but before I spend the money getting this premium addon, I do have a question: Will the Data Exporter Addon be able to export all of the necessary member data, including the member’s login password, so that way the members can login to their memberships on the new website with their original membership passwords?

The members will need to reset their password.

Passwords are stored using a one way hash (for maximum security). It won’t work in the new system. So after you import the users to the new system, you should send them an email and tell them to use the password reset function to reset the password. They will then be able to log in and change their password from the edit profile page.
