• I have a two blogs that are randomly switching to https (at the same time). To explain, going to any page any point in time, it will suddenly switch to https. No certificates or links to any https pages are setup or included in any code.

I cannot establish a pattern when it comes to timing or triggers.

The two blogs are on the same server (hosted by media temple). Vintageshopper.com and uxbydesign.org

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Media temple is stumped, and are guessing it’s a plugin/code. But what makes this especially weird, is whenever this does happen (a few times per day), it happens to both blogs at the same time.

I’m in desperate need of help. Thanks guys.

seriously, no-one else experienced this problem? Unfortunately, the more I have used WordPress, the more buggy it seems to be. Becoming very disillusioned with the platform.

Hey Bradley. Actually one of my friends is experiencing it right now. It also started after he moved to Mediatemple. I had to move him off of my server because he was getting to much traffic and my host didn’t like it. He had MT migrate it all for him and now he has this issue randomly when he posts. I’ve been searching and trying to help him with it for weeks.

Any chance you’ve found out anything new on the topic?

    Thanks.

We have several clients who randomly experience this same issue. All of them are hosted on MediaTemple.

The response from MediaTemple is always “we cannot recreate the problem at this time…”

Did you guys ever find a solution or the cause of this bug?

    Thanks

hmm very interesting. I am just about to sign up for a media temple hosting account. If this is going to be an issue, I’ll go with wp engine or similar.

Hey guys, this got fixed a few months back. Media temple suggested I choose the .php version to a much older one (and more stable). I cannot say that specifically worked though.

I wish I knew the exact cause of the problem and solution for that matter.

In all, I have been pretty frustrated (and insulted) by Media temple’s customer service. They lack training, tact and knowledge.

Unfortunately, I’m still no more fond of WordPress. It’s tends to bloat and slow very easily.
