Random row from Table press

    Hi Tobias,
    first I want to congratulate you on such a good product and awsome support that you have done on this forum. I have read a lot of threats but I haven’t found a solution.

    The problem that I have is with randomization of a row. I would like to have random rows posted from tablepress.

    Example:

    [table_cell id=1 c=1 r=2 /]
    [table_cell id=1 c=2 r=2 /]
    [table_cell id=1 c=3 r=2 /]

    and all row should be some random number between 2 and 40. Can you help me with that? I have imported your plugins but It didn’t solve this problem.

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    To display a random row, you could maybe use the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/random-row/

    thanks for your reply. I have tried to do that with the mentioned extension, but I am having difficulties. While there is every column written seperately due to graphics. Could you please explain me on my example?

    Example:
    <div class=”lm-top”>[table_cell id=1 c=1 r=2 /]</div>
    <div class=”lm-content”><span class=”naslov”>[table_cell id=1 c=2 r=2 /]</span>
    [table_cell id=1 c=3 r=2 /] Marina [table_cell id=1 c=5 r=2 /]

    I have tried to switch “r=2” with your code “show_rows=”random” random_rows=”10″” but didn’t get any success.

    Hi,

    sorry, that won’t work like that, unfortunately. The Random Row Extension can not be used together with the Single Cell Extension. It can only be used to return a full row.

    If you only want random cells, you’ll have to extend the Extension’s code with some custom programming, maybe inspired from the code of the other Extension.
