The previous thread on this issue was closed so I’m restarting it.

I have square as the system of record. When I use quick edit to add shipping information on WooCommerce, the inventory on Woo is set to zero. After that, a sync or update no longer corrects the inventory on the WooCommerce side.

Quick edit appears to break the link between the counts on Woo/Square.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there @kyonkee,

We apologize for the late reply!

I was able to reproduce almost the same behaviour on my test site and got the following results with Square as SOR:

    – for simple products, if I quick edit it, the stock goes to 0 and I have to re-run manual sync in WooCommerce > Settings > Square > Update to make sure stock is fetched from Square again and is updated

    – for variable products, if I quick edit it, Update product data with Square data setting on its General tab gets unchecked and sync won’t work until I select it and update the product.

Is that the same behaviour you’re seeing?

Also, I then went ahead and updated stock in Square, ran manual sync and stock got fetched again. So my testing results are a bit different.

I’ve reported it to our developers so we’ll expect it to be fixed in the next releases. If you have any additional details, please do let me know!

    Stay safe!

    Hi there @kyonkee,

I wanted to let you know that the behaviour I described above was confirmed as a bug by our developers and will be fixed in the next release (however, we don’t have any ETA for it yet).

Please keep an eye on the plugin’s updates and changelog here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-square/#developers

    Cheers!
