Putting pages outside wp-content folder

I am placing pages outside the wp-content folder (not creating them via WordPress) and linking out to them from my homepage (hyperlinks in body; may try hard coding later in footer).

Is this going to pose any problems?

One of the reasons I am doing this is to create landing pages for PPC and deriving a good QS since they are on the domain of my main blog.
