Publishing RSS Feeds

That is not quite the original purpose behind site syndication. The *real* goal with RSS (and other syndication formats) was to ‘simply’ provide automated updates to your recent content. Often this is through the form of a syndication or feed reader application. One uses a feed reader to keep track of a list of sites (or specific topics of interest), without needing to visit each of those sites individually, directly.

Taking content from a feed and republishing it is often referred to as re-feeding, and there a few plugins I know of which do this:

There are also feed aggregators which will display feeds from other sites on yours, but do not import them into your blog (as posts):
