    Hi,

How can I protect a photo gallery and assign this content to one specific member?
So e.g. 5 clients, and they have only access to their own photos. So member A cannot access the photos of member B and do on. How can I achieve this?

    Hi,

Can you provide more information? For example: Is the photo gallery added to a page or post using a plugin? Or is the photo gallery displayed on the sidebar using a widget?

Perhaps you can share the URL with the photo gallery.

    Thank you

    Hi,

In am not able yo share an URL yet.
I did not added the gallery yet to a specific page or post so your advise is much appreciated.

I work with Plox (theme) and Elementor. With Elementor I can make easily galleries with an image widget or by choosing ‘modern gallery’. But I was wondering or it’s possible to achieve to show seperate images to seperate (free) members. I will give the client a login. They login and then they can view their own images BUT another client will not be allowed to view images of another client. Is this possible? So I do not want that all free users view the sme (protected) photos. It’ a photographer site.

    Extra to my previous topic.
Logged in clients are allowed to download their own images. So a download button is needed. Is this all possible with your Simple Membership plugin? Would be wonderful. Thanks a lot in advance.

Have you tried adding images to a protected page yet? If you haven’t please try this and report back with any issues.

You might like to try the following plugin simple-download-monitor. This will allow you to manage the downloads in a protected page or post.

Let me know how you go.

    Kind regards

Thx, but is this possible??: See my previous question: Different clients (all free) will view their own images.

While I am still investigating different membership plugins, I like yours but I would like to know if it is possible showing the images of client A to client A and showing the images of client B to client B. I do not like to show the same images to all (free) clients. Just their own photo pages. I would like to know this before installing this plugin. I have tested it on a local site but I do not understand how I can achieve this.

Are you selling photos and or are you offering free and paid photos?

    Thank you

No, photos are not sold through the website and I do not need registration.

I just want to add members (clients) myself, send them their login credentials and allow them to login at the login page. That’s it. Then show them their own page with their wedding photos. So I need to add extra member levels I guess?? So wedding 1, wedding 2, wedding 3 and assign them to the member?, to prevent that all free users see wedding photos of other people? Thx.

In that case you can create membership levels for each member. Now this might work if you don’t have too many members. But if you end up having a 1000 or more members then it will be very challenging to manage thousands of members with levels. I think you get what I mean.

I am trying to think of a better way for you, but right now nothing comes to my mind.

    Kind regards

Hi, I think I might have found a solution for now. Password protect each page. Then send the password for that page to the member. I think this will work for now until something better comes up. What do you think?

    Kind regards

Thx, how can I do this with your plugin?

Hi, for testing purposes do the following. Create a page and protect the page for members only. Then password protect the same page using WordPress. Then carry out a test and let me know if this works for you.

    Kind regards

I’ve tested the previous method already.

    – I created the members
    – I created the pages (and have protected them (in the plugin) for the specific client/member only)
    – Have assigned level to specific member
    – Have set the ‘After Login Redirection Page’

This worked. Logged in client land on their own photo page.

Thx. I prefer this method, if this works.

Hi, just to clarify your steps further.

    – I created the members = What this done manually?
    – I created the pages (and have protected them (in the plugin) for the specific client/member only) = this is good but they are protected based on a membership level, correct?
    – Have assigned level to specific member = This step is good.
    – Have set the ‘After Login Redirection Page’ = Was this done at the level side by entering the URL in the following field After Login Redirection Page. This field appears after installing and activate the Simple Membership After Login Redirection plugin. If this is correct, then remember that the redirected page is visible to all the members that belong to this level. This would not work for you because you want each member to have access to their own private collection of photos.

The method that I mentioned above about protecting each page with a password would work better in this case.

Let me know if you need more information or help.

    Kind regards

    Hi,

-Yes, I added the member manually (I do not need spontaneous registration).
-Yes protected page on a level
-Yes with the plugin After Login Redirection Page.
-My members (clients) have their own seperate level.

I’ve set it like this now:
    ——-

Do you want to protect this content?

    Yes, Protect this content.
Select the membership level that can access this content:

    Free
    client 1
    client 2

If I select client 1 level or client 2 level, and give them different redirection pages, this works.
So client is landing on the page with client1 images and client2 is landing on the page with client 2 images. Or do I make a mistake?
