Is it possible to generate a report with products variations
for example how many items of SKU XXXXX – Large/green was sold vs just all variations combined?

Currently the report is based on products only, so all variations of a product are aggregated into one line of the report. The ability to report on variations separately will likely be added in a future release (hopefully soon).

If you’re still looking for this functionality (reporting on product variations), it’s been included in the Pro version of the plugin, available at http://store.hearkenmedia.com/downloads/product-sales-report-pro-wordpress-plugin/ (use code PSR25OFF for a 25% discount).
