Product Search not working

Hello Support,

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My Jigoshop Product Search field does not work correctly.
For example, when I type the name of a product category – example (LED Strip Lights) – it would not display any products. However, when I search the category “LED Strip Lights” products display. In addition, if I search “LED Strip Light” – please, note I excluded the “s” from the word “lights”- then I do get product displays.

Is this a bug, or is my category corrupted?

AFAIK the Product Search should search for products, not categories.

Hello,

thank you for the quick reply.
I understand for the search box not to return the whole category, however, shouldn’t it return some results for the products within the category. I say this because it does for some other of my categories. Example: If I enter “Dimmable LED Drivers” in the search box, I get the same results as if I were to select “Dimmable LED Drivers” for category search.

Is there something I can do to relate both searches?

There are some methods to achieve this – customizing the query going in with the search parameter is one of them 🙂
