Hello spierbouwers,
Could you please replace all the
%3 - with ':'
%2F - with '/'
try using the following link instead:
https://www.bodyenfitshop.nl/afslanken/caffeine/body-fit-sportsnutrition/caffeine-capsules/?utm_source=tradetracker&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=271405
Best regards,
Hi Etoile,
When I use this link: https://www.bodyenfitshop.nl/afslanken/caffeine/body-fit-sportsnutrition/caffeine-capsules/?utm_source=tradetracker&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=271405, it does not show a 404-message and everythings to be fine, BUT it doesn’t get tracked by my affilate program.
I need this link: http://www.bodyenfitshop.nl/bfshop/?tt=11113_12_271405_&r=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bodyenfitshop.nl%2Fafslanken%2Fcaffeine%2Fbody-fit-sportsnutrition%2Fcaffeine-capsules%2F in the Product Catalogue. When I click on this link via this forum, it actually gets tracked.
So I need to find a way to use the original URL in Product Catalogue. How can we fix this?
Hi spier,
The only way would be to modify the core plugin code so that no characters are escaped and the option not validated in the database. We would, however, not recommend doing this, and we obviously can’t do it on a global level in our plugin. But, if you understand a bit how that works in WordPress, you would be able to modify our options saving and outputting to make that happen. This could open up your site to security issues, though, which is why we would not recommend doing it.
Could you not just use a link shortening service to get a cleaner link?
I’m using Google URL shortner now, that seems to work. Thanks!
Hi spier,
Glad to hear it!
Thanks for posting the solution you found, as it should hopefully be of help to others in the future 🙂
