    Is there a way to get a message to display on a product category page?

    The scenario I am talking about, is this:

    We have a certain product line in a certain product category, yet some of the products had to be taken off due to a setback in transit. I was wondering if there was a way to add a message on an individual product category’s page that says something along the lines of “Looking for (Product X), email us at (johndoe@aol.com) and we will email you when it comes in.”

    Edit the category and set the ‘description’.

    Thank you! I have a question about that product category that is somewhat related. In that category, since all my products are hidden and private… it doesn’t show the product category when in catalog/shop page. Is there a way to have it show that product category, even with it having zero items?

    I think empty categories in WP will 404. So I don’t think so.
