Problems updating to WordPress 4.4.2

    I have been getting the following error message when trying to update my WP site to the newest version:

    Downloading update from https://downloads.wordpress.org/release/wordpress-4.4.2-new-bundled.zip…

    Unpacking the update…

    Could not copy file.: wordpress/wp-content/themes/twentyfourteen/genericons/font/genericons-regular-webfont.woff

    Installation Failed

    My site is not using the Twenty Fourteen theme so not sure why this is failing

    Anyone have any ideas how to get round this please?

    Have you tried deleting that theme and then installing?

    No, I haven’t as I was concerned that it might break the current theme. But I assume that as the site doesn’t use the Twenty Fourteen theme that this wont be the case?

    OK I have now deleted that theme and then trying to update WP but I still get the following message:

    Downloading update from https://downloads.wordpress.org/release/wordpress-4.4.2-new-bundled.zip…

    Installation Failed
    Any ideas on what I could try? Thanks
