Problems accessing my website locally
-
Yeah, I’m sure this has been asked several times, but I just can’t find an answer.
I host a server at my house, running WordPress 3.1 using WAMP. Ya know, Apache/PHP/MySql. Should be the most recent version of WAMP.
My site works great over the WAN, but locally I can not get it to load. Now I know that I can’t just use my DNS name to load my site locally, but even using the local IP (192.168.5.100) of my server, it will load the main page in plain text. CSS isn’t loading for whatever reason. If I click any links, it doesn’t load. The only thing I have done, is on my computer (192.168.5.101), I have added to the host file, “192.168.5.100 ServerName”
No go. Is there something I’m missing on the server side, with Apache or something? Windows Firewall is disabled on my network, and I also disabled my Firewall software (Eset System Security) to verify if that’s the issue. The server is set as a DMZ on my router (Netgear WNDR3700 running DD-WRT).
Ideas?
Please and thank you!
