Problem with pagination

Hi,

I’m using WP 3.4.1 and I want to add pagination to categories pages.

I tried many of the available plugins but they all have produced the same issue.

The number of pages is not right.

For example I have a category which contents fit for 4 pages

but pagination plugins (all of them) generated 32 pages for it!!

The first 4 pages have content and the rest of the 32 pages are empty pages.

Can anyone help me with this??
