problem with install on local host

    I followed the instructions at this link to install xampp, create database, and download wordpress and update wp-config.php file:

    All worked well until I tryed to Install WordPress (step 7).

    Object Not Found (error 404)

    Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks much!
    (I am new to WordPress – this is my first install)
