Problem uploading/inserting images – invalid URL

Hi.

I am having trouble inserting images and other stuff into posts.

I can upload images to the library via the media/add new menu and can look and edit the details in the library.

The problem is when I want to insert an image into a post.

I click the button to open the box and I am given the choice of where to insert from, computer/URL/gallery or anything else on that box I am told the it is an ‘invalid URL’

When I hover the pointer over the links I see in the status bar at the bottom of my browser:

\http:///?post_id=-1234901613&type=&tab=type_***\

‘***’ changes depending what link is hovered over.

Any help greatly appreciated.
