PRO: Custom booking form custom field bug

I have added custom text fields to a booking form in Events Manager PRO. However, making these fields required makes them “unfillable” – even if there is input there, user gets an error message telling them to fill out field X. This is because these fields don’t accept input – making the fields optional allows me to do a test booking, but nothing I enter in them shows up in the booking details when I view it in the dashboard afterwards.

What complicates things is that one of the custom fields I made does accept input and can be made required. I can discern no difference between the field that works and the ones that don’t.
