The preview pictures are based on content the theme’s developers added to their dev sites to make that screenshot. If you don’t have the content, you don’t get that look. The preview image shows what the site *could* look like with that theme. The live preview shows what your current content *will* look like.
Some themes offer sample content that you can load to get a head start on the change from “will” to “could”. Check the theme’s documentation and readme files for information about that.
It would help if you could identify exactly which theme you are referring to and then post in that theme’s dedicated forum via its page in the Theme Repository.
Hi Steve – thanks for the reply. I’m not sure it *is* just about content though, really – the exact theme I’ve identified in the screenshots is clearly business-orientated , that I found by filtering themes to only show “e-commerce” themes.
When I run the Live Preview the only difference is that my Company Name, the subtitle, and two footers comes through – all of my other data I have fed into my current theme has been missed.
The layout is completely a “blog” style layout, unlike the main and clear intended end layout displayed in the theme tile.
