Can you please provide more details what you are referring here is “see as explosion of the link mass on external links” ?

If Image prevent hotlink enabled and if referred to display by any other domain than your site domain it will show 403 forbidden and it should not be tracked in google webmaster etc as page

Which webmaster tool do you use?

I do not think the External links increase will be due to prevent hotlink.

Cross-check if any page/post has been added it might be as comments.

Also, you can check the actual data of external link which is considered you will have more idea.

Thanks for the information. Here when Yandex has crawled the below site it should have direct access to your image URL without any HTTP_REFFERER. If it do not work that way it might be considered broken external link.

So while above crawling site your URL as link but as external.

While accessing your site do they consider it as an internal broken link?

I will create an internal ticket and discuss with SEO person and get back to you.

Please cross-check with your hosting provider if they have image-prevent hotlink functionality. If yes enable it from there Does it affect the Yandex external link as broken? So we have more ideas regarding yandex.
