Posts table with isotope filtering. Possible?
-
Dear all,
I’m creating a website for a research project here at the university and I would like to know if I can implement some functionalities without a heavy programming effort (as I’m not a web developer 🙂
This is the thing. Our research results are reports categorized by country and by research indicator. I’ve made a post for each report and now I’d like to have all the excerpts of these reports displayed in a table, but I’d also like the user to have the possibility of filtering the table by country and/or by indicator, preferable in a isotope layout (although I could consider alternative layouts that achieve the same effect but are easier).
In other words, when the user clicks on “Australia” (country) and “Press freedom” (indicator), there will be only the “Australia” column and the “Press freedom” row. Multiselect would be perfect, as the user could choose “Australia” and “Austria”, for example, and compare the indicators she wants.
Well, this is the question: is there a way to implement this without prior knowledge of WordPress and, say, max. some 20 hours of learning and coding? Would you indicate some specific material and/or plugins that would help me achieve this goal? Thanks!
