uh, yah you are – the normal bits and pieces of working with a blog apparantly.
Comments are displayed on permalink pages, that is, single post pages. Single post pages display one post, by definition. Thats what makes them a permalink page.
So when you are looking at comments, well, youre only going to see one post – thats by design.
That said, you only show one post on your front page. Thats probably a function of the theme or a plugin that you are using. IF that isnt something you want, then you might want to switch to the default theme until you figure out the cause.
whoami…cheers for that, I guess I was hoping to “add a topic” and have the comments all appear on the same page, and hope the other topics would “fold back up” if that makes any sense. maybe I am expecting too much.

you can alter things to display comments on other pages, but out of the box, thats not how WP or many other blog apps work.
