Posts not displaying on website

Recently, for no apparent reason, my website is displaying blank pages where my posts would normally be displayed.

The front page normally displays a featured content gallery, but this is now showing black, as if it doesn’t know where the posts are that are normally ‘featured’ posts.

Below the gallery, is a list of categories which normally display a selection of posts within those categories beneath them – again, at the moment no posts are showing.

Clicking on some of the menu options at the top of the website, eg ‘News’ shows no posts.

The posts are definitely on the site – I can see them via the Admin Dashboard and edit them and add new posts, plus you can access all the posts via any search engine using the relevant post URL.

The site itself though, seems to have ‘forgotten’ where the posts are. Even the ‘Recently Added Events’ widget on the right sidebar thinks there are no posts to display.

I haven’t made any changes to the site lately or installed any new plugins – it simply just stopped working.

If anyone has any bright ideas as to why my website is struggling to locate my posts, despite the fact that they definitely exist, please do let me know as I’m getting desperate!
