• Hi,

I wanted your help in figuring out how can a post be missing after it was live from the admin? It seems like it is deleted from the posts lineup. It was live for a few days but not there anymore.

Could it be that WordPress basically deletes posts that may be deemed sensitive? The piece I had was about Israel and relating to football. Nothing sensitive.

    Would appreciate any help here.

    Thanks.

  • What is your url?

It can be one of many reasons – are you on a shared hosting environment? It could be that a backup was ran to when your posts were not created – WordPress does not delete any posts

Does anyone else have access to your site? Have you asked your hosting company about any server issues/maintenance?

Another friend has access but just talked to him and he didn’t do anything.

I will have to check with the hosting server but it still does not make sense there. Let’s say if the post is published and then not visible after a day, the actual post should still be visible on the dashboard right?

    The URL is footynions.com

Yes, the post should still be visible. If there is nothing in the dashboard, then the post is definitely deleted (if its not in the trash). I suspect a backup restore from your hosting company – it happened to me before a few times until i decided to go for my own premium package (I am run the backups myself)
