Hi, I’m setting up a new website with WordPress 3.5. I want to make a Page the Home page, so it is set up as the Home link on the main menu. I also want to put Posts on the main menu as a separate item and I can’t seem to find the way to do that either in the Menus section or in the Posts section. Is there are way to do this.

    What I want is to have Home | Page1 | Page 2 | Blog | Page 3 | About

as my main menu that runs horizontally under the page header. Home links to a static Page and Blog links to the Posts section. Is there a way to do this?

    Thanks,

    Broadlighter

  • The easiest way to do this is to create two pages, home and blog.
In the settings > reading, select a static home page.
In the drop down menus, select the home page as your front page and then blog as your blog page.

Bless you. That solved my problem. I thought that blogs and pages had to be kept separate. I was unaware that you could link a page to all of the posts and they would populate the page you direct it to.

Thank you very much and have a great Holiday season.
