• Hi, I had a problem with my first installation of WPress so uninstalled and started all over again. However the posts I can now see on my dashboard (just two testers) are not what is showing on the URL (my original tester). Do I need to reset something???

Hope someone can help. Many thanks

    Sharona

  • Site url?
    Have you installed/activated any plugins?

The site url is http://www.barbarafirer.com. No I have not installed anything or tailored it at all yet. It is literally just an HTML tester that we played around with that is showing at the moment.

    Thanks

I meant the url of your WordPress install.

Just in case it helps, the reason WordPress was reinstalled is that I originally installed it in the wordpress sub directory and for some reason it didn’t like this so I have now got it in the root and it is working fine. GoDaddy are my host. Not sure what other information I can give you… Are you able to help?

Oops not sure why that multiple posted. I also want to add that I have checked my admin settings now, after reading through another thread, but they are set to read current posts and not static, which I think is correct. can anyone help me?

It seems as though you have an index.html in the root folder which is conflicting with wordpress’ index.php.

Either rename index.html or delete it and wp will take over, you should be able to see your blog then.
