Posting with email

Hi I am trying to post using email I have set up a secret email put all the right settings in started cron jobs I get back an email saying permission denied. I have watched the video on how to post using email and the video says I have to enable the email using the “my blog” settings on the dashboard I don’t have a “my blog” setting can someone help please its driving me mad.
