hblogger would need to build in a type for WordPress to communicate with the xml-rpc interface just like the Blogger and MT ones they’ve made.
I think WordPress uses MetaWeblogAPI. I’m not sure if hblogger support the MetaWeblogAPI, but I know <A href=”http://www.blogplanet.net/index.shtml”>BlogPlanet does.
WP supports several types of API, that includes the Blogger API format.
going through the same thing right now. choose “movable type ” from the type options during account setup. i’m getting an “invalid/unparsable server data format” error, but the post goes. not sure if i need to change something in encoding. let me know what luck you have. -alex.
just heard back from the hblogger guys that there’s a known bug posting to wordpress that gives you that error i mentioned in the previous post, but that it posts anyway. -alex.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a freeware application that is similar? I don’t need all the robustness 😀 described in hblogger…I just want an easy way to moblog. Not sure the post-via-email is going to be the best way to do it, either…
