Post Levels

It has been a while since I’ve worked actively with wp, and now i’m back on the scene. I am trying to get a new site setup for a client, and I am looking for a way to give each user a level, and have them see only the posts of that level or lower, it would be great if I could allow groups to see posts and such.

Does anyone know of such a plugin for wp 3.5? When I last used wp (back in 2.7 days) the plugin “post levels” did exactly this, but now it seems that the plugin is dead, so I’m looking for a replacement.
