when using that…. where do you put the php? In wp-comments.php?
post_count – that’s not a function that comes along built in. Have you uploaded and activated a plugin ?
Gravatar – I would think so, never used it myself. Find the part of the code that displays comments, and put it somewhere then move it around to suit.

The upload of the plugin could have gone wrong..delete it and reupload, making sure it goes up as ASCII, not binary ?
