• I just logged in to upload a new portfolio entry and a 2x logo file. In poking around, I realized that at some point all of my portfolio links were broken. The portfolio landing page is fine and functions, all images and categories are pulled and show up fine there as well as in the homepage slider. But if I click on any portfolio entry, I get a 404 error. This also happens if I try to view the portfolio entry page directly from the ‘edit page’ interface. The information is there, but the pages throw this 404:

Sorry, but the page you were trying to view does not exist.
It looks like this was the result of either:
    a mistyped address
    an out-of-date link

I’ve not updated the functionality since I created it a year ago, all I’ve done is add and rearrange portfolio entries.

    Help?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I’ve also noticed that, on the portfolio page, the title of the page and logo/links above it all load immediately, but none of the images appear until I scroll and my mouse passes over one of the image areas. Then they all pop in simultaneously. But before that, they entire page below the page title is stark white. What’s going on?

My homepage portfolio carousel images are also really pixelated looking, while all of the thumbnails on the portfolio page look crisp. Why is everything portfolio related all messed up right now?

Update: I discovered that my Settings > Permalinks setting just…changed itself? My portfolio not found error is now RESOLVED.

Unfortunately, I’m still noticing the loading error on both desktop and mobile (the images in the portfolio don’t load until you mouse over them on desktop, or click on the empty white space where they would be on mobile).

Also, the thumbnails in my portfolio carousel on my homepage, as well as the thumbnails on the portfolio entry items themselves are very blurry, but the thumbnails on the portfolio page are very crisp, and the Lightbox images are crisp. Why are some thumbnails worse than others??

    Hello,

Glad you got most of it sorted. I’m not seeing the issue with portfolio images on load. Did you clear your cache since making changes to the permalink structure?

If not, try clearing it. That may also help with the blurred images on the home page. Let me know if that makes any difference.
