• I know this isn’t a WP issue, but I’d really love to check out the email-posting feature. I get this error message:
Login Failed: POP3 user: Error [-ERR User myaccount@earthorbit(nospam)design.com is unknown.]
I’ve added this user to my machine as directed in the instructions, and I’ve set that user up as having pop mail. I just confirmed that I can in fact pick up that pop mail with a mail client… why am I getting this message? Any help would be appreciated. 🙂 This is a great looking system, btw. Excellent.

  • Glad to hear you’re trying it out. From Ryze, right?
I’m going to pass your query on to Mike T. who is most familiar with the email posting code.

yeah, I’ve got the login identical to the one I used to check the account with my mail client… still no go.

    whats the error now ?
And have you got the properties in the config good ? like the phone propertie on ‘0’

Ah ha… my error was in specifying the user as “myuser@mydomain.com” so, it’s polling my machine for a user with a login on myuser@mydomain.com, whereas, it should have just been “myuser” It appears to be working better now… now I’m getting a fatal error on running that script here:
“Fatal error: Call to undefined function: rss_update() in /Library/WebServer/Documents/wordpress/b2mail.php on line 228”
is that just something i can comment out?

I just checked, it doesn’t appear to be interfering with the regular posting to the site… btw, wow, that’s awesome! :):):)

You can remove the call to that function, that will be fixed in the next release.
