    Hi!

Did you solve your problem? I don’t see anything wrong on your website.

Well, partly – the problem with that particular blogpost has been solved.

However one issue with the permalinks remains: Is there some guideline? My second latest blogpost could not be displayed until I changed it.
The original permalink of the post in german was: /silvester-style/
The original permalink of the post in english was: /new-year-style/
I edited both permalinks and added “2015” to them – and now the permalink works.

On a side note: why is my site always displayed in english, even though I have the settings set to german standard language and “recognize browser language” (as you can guess, I am from a german speaking country).

    Thanks for any help!

You must translate your theme. You can use the plugin codestyling localization for this.

Your problem with permalinks is very strange. I see no reason why some should work and other don’t. Except that two posts can’t have the same permalink but that’s not your problem here. In the past I found some conflicting plugins/themes which break the permalinks but in that case all posts sent a 404 error.

So the translation thing would solve the problem with site being displayed in another language, right?

    About the permalinks:
Today I tried to publish a blogpost. At first both permalinks were displayed correctly (with the .com/de/postname vs. .com/en/postname1 thing correctly), after working on the title and actually publishing it, I found out that the permalinks are not working and they “magically” changed into .com/postname – and thus the link on the homepage did not work causing a redirect to the homepage.
The old correct permalink caused a 404.
So I re-published the blogposts creating a new blogpost, the permalinks were displayed correctly but did not work. Afterwards I changed them – making them from “.com/de/long-bun-haare-update” to “.com/de/long-bun-haar” which worked. Same for the english version – I just shortened them.
Could this be a valid hint for you?

    Hi again,

any idea on that issue? It still exists and I have problems with that. After posting a blogpost believing that the permalink works, I have to find out several hours later, that the link creates a 404.

    Furthermore:
When reading a blogpost in German and switching to English everything works. Switching back from English to German, causes a return to the homepage.

    Please reply asap.
    thanks,
    wearabelle.

    Hi!

I have no hint. You should look for a conflict with your theme or another plugin.
