    Hello,

Thanks for the awesome plugin and support..It works flawless..
My only problem is with the string translations..

I cant save my string translations for my second language on polylang settings..

When I click save it turns back to english version..I have no other problems on other pages..
Only problem left on static front page. If I can change the string translations settings it s going to be solved.
    Can you please help..

    (I am on brooklyn theme)

    Hi
Deactivate all your plugins except Polylang, then try to resave your strings in the Strings translation option.

Thank you for the quick response..It didnt work unfortunately :l

It works for the first language but not for the second language. There is something preventing me changing the string for the second language.

Do you have some script and html in these strings translation?

If yes there is certainly a problem with one of them.

    1) Could you delete in your theme or plugins fields all these strings with html and script, then resave your Strings translation?

    2) Are you able to save the other strings without html and script?

There re html codes on some string boxes..But even site title ( no html codes) doesnt change for the second language… Is there any way to switch to language on string boxes ? So I can just change to boxes on second language..Because first language doesnt need any change.

First box can be saved..But not the second one.

Chrystl just realised I have multiple entries for specific strings.. Maybe thats the cause of the problem.
Can I delete them safely ?

Among these strings with html/script, one generates your problem.
    You can make a backup.
Then delete in the customizr for example one these strings with html/script, then go in the Strings translation option, resave you changes and check if the other strings work.
Do this operation until to find with html/script strings cause this problem.

Chrystl, thank you for your efforts but I clean all the html/script in the string..Still no luck, something blocks second language to change… I can make any change on the english version but not on the second language.

I can change manually on editor maybe if I can find where the strings are ?

locale field is empty in my second language..Can this be the cause of the problem maybe ?

Yes. This is the problem with the Turkish language. It’s exactly the same problem as these topics: * https://wordpress.org/support/topic/merge-languages?replies=7
    * https://wordpress.org/support/topic/english-us-flag-dissapeard?replies=25

    For your case:

    Go in your Database.

    1) Then go in the wp_terms table find the term_id of your Turkish languages, you must have at least 2 Turkish entries. Here an example with 2 French entries: i.e: http://nimb.ws/ZxdNXF

Provide me a screen shot where appear these 2 Turkish entries.

    2) Then go in the wp_term_taxonomy table. Check if in the description you see the locale: i.e: http://nimb.ws/WhQGlC
You must have 2 “language” entries.

Provide me a screen shot where appear these 2 “language” entries.

    3) Then go in your wp_options table > option_name column > _transient_pll_languages_list.
    See: http://nimb.ws/0S5HPi

Could you copy/paste for the option_value of the _transient_pll_languages_list in this tools (output: check print_r): http://www.unserialize.com/ ?

Then forward me the result using the code button in the topic bare tools.
