Plugins Options Grayed Out

    I installed this plugin XML Sitemap & Google News feeds today.

    These options for the plugins are grayed out so I cannot continue
    Enable XML sitemaps
    Google News Sitemap

    fyi even after creating a robots.txt file they are still grayed out.

    I tried on another top level domain website to be sure but still the same problem.

    I even tried it on one of my Top Level Domains but it made no difference.

    I have no sitemap in root

    Hi, the main options to enable sitemaps are greyed out when the site is not accessible for search engines. I.e. the option “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” is checked or if a plugin that adds privacy options has changed this.

    There is no need to create a robots.txt file as WordPress should handle the request (if server is configured correctly) otherwise privacy options are ignored.
