• I deactivate a plugin but it still shows on the blog. I’ve even deleted the folder but it still appears on the blog. This has happened now with several different plugins.

    Thanks in advance,

    Cary

  • Try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

I read the document but it seems that this process just deactivates all of the plugins. I’ve already deactivated some of them but they just don’t seem to be really deactivated. For example, OnlyWire plugin is deactivated but the OnlyWire button still appears on the site.

Thanks in advance for the help.

It does more than just deactivate the plugins. The phpMyAdmin method especially kills ’em stone dead.

Can you limit the death to plugins in question or will it kill them all. Mass murder…..

    Thanks for the help.

It will kill the lot but, in theory, their settings should be retained. So, when you reverse the phpMyAdmin change, you can then reactivate them carefully one-by-one.
