That depends on your server actually. As WP uses pseudo cron and if your server is blocking the execution of wp-cron.php, the poll will not start/end of time.
Having said so, I tested the scripts and this feature work 100% as it should.
Thanks! I will ask my hosting people if they block it.
Do a search on wp-cron or wp-cron.php and I think you should find similar problems when the cron is not being executed.
I talked to my host and they said that they do not block wp-cron. Hm. Any way I can fix this myself?
Thanks!
I looked up wp-cron and most people seem to be having problems with it and scheduling future posts. We can schedule future posts no problem. I wonder if that is really our problem.
Thanks for all your help!
Hmm, you want to try to uninstall WP-Polls via WP-Admin -> Polls -> Uninstall Polls?
If not see if you can install a fresh copy of WP with WP-Polls somewhere in your server to test it.
Hi,
I’m facing the same issue.
I checked with my host and they do not block wp-cron.php. I also uninstall WP-Poll via WP-Admin -> Polls – Uninstall Polls, and re-install a fresh new copy of WP-Poll, but still not work.
Beside that, i also noticed that, after activated the WP-Poll plugin, I’m not able to schedule my post to be publish at certain time.
Any idea that i can solve this problem? Really hope to use this plugin into my blogs.
FYI, I’m using WPMU2.8.4, and WP-Poll 2.50.
Thanks.
Hmm I have no idea, I have WP-Polls installed and my scheduled post works fine.
