Plugin with GA, AMP & Adsense

Hello, I used this plugin on my website and it worked very well. This website only has Google Analytics installed on it (with a plugin).

I want to use this consent plugin on my other website, but it doesn’t work :

1/ The Google Analytics tracking is not blocked on both versions : desktop and AMP

GA is installed with GTM
AMP is installed with the official plugin (AMP by AMP Project Contributors)

2/ The Google Adsense ads aren’t blocked either

– For the desktop version, the ads are automatically placed by Google with this script in the head section :

<script data-ad-client=”ca-pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxx” async src=”https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js”></script>

– For the AMP version, I use the plugin “Adsense for AMP Pro” by Creative Brains

I don’t know why it doesn’t work… :/ If I have to take the premium version to make it okay, I can do it (but I wanted to test before)…

Hi @charlie-ray,

For 1. Does Analytics need to be blocked? If configure correctly, at least for the GDPR, you can set analytics without consent.

For the rest, I really need to see your website to see what’s going on.

Make sure you have answered the question about Advertising in the wizard, under Cookies – Integrations correctly. (Which is Yes to Ads :-))

Hi @aahulsebos, thanks for the answer!

For the 1/, unfortunately, according to the latest recommendations, Google Analytics now needs the consent of the users to be used (anonymise the IP, change the retention period of cookies, etc. are not enough). :/

(On the first Website I installed your plugin, GA is indeed blocked until the consent. This Website doesn’t use GTM, idk if this can be the reason…)

For the rest, can I send you the website address in private?
I answered “yes” to the question.
