[Plugin: Wickett Twitter Widget] “Error: Twitter Did Not Respond”

Never had a problem with twitter before until I switched to 2.8.1…
This seems to be the popular widget for the new update, but for some reason my twitter account doesn’t seem to be registering. Does “a few minutes” sometimes mean longer, or is something wrong?
