I’m not sure why you’re seeing that for UpdraftPlus. https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/ lists itself as compatible with WordPress 4.5.3.
I can’t speak for Envira Gallery Premium though, you’ll need to get in touch with their support at http://enviragallery.com/contact/
Hi James
UpdraftPlus has always served me well, this is the first time i have seen the unknown compatibility message on an update from Updraftplus. The view version details does indeed show compatibility up to 4.6. As far as the other plugin is concerned there is also a warning in the details version about compatibility with my present release of WordPress 4.5.3. Thank you for feedback, it does help to know that there is someone out there reading the forum messages. Rather than me waffling on, I will test in my localhost setup.
Is it the free UpdraftPlus, or their premium version?
Hi James
I am using the premium (paid) version 2.12.16.22
The update marked as unknown compatibility is pointing to 2.12.18.22
Ah, ok, then likewise you’ll need to get in touch with them at https://updraftplus.com/paid-support-requests/
Feedback re the confusing plugin message.
UpdraftPlus have confirmed that the plugin is compatible with the present WordPress release 4.5.3 and up to 4.6 when released.
Thank you to David for his prompt reply.
Envira Gallery admin have also replied, they have also confirmed that the present plugin updates are compatible with the present WordPress release 4.5.3
This still does not explain why I am seeing non compatible with my present release 4.5.3 for the Envira plugin updates.
The warning message when i access the details of what is changing or has been changed in the plugin is stamped with a warning message that they have not been tested with my current release of WordPress 4.5.3 compatible up to 4.5.2
i have tested in my localhost and there are no problems to report when the plugins are installed (activated)
The issue has now been addressed by Envira Gallery admin, it is a text entry problem when the developers push the plugin updates out for installation.
I will close this support request, thanks to all concerned.
I recommend following up with UpdraftPlus too as to why it’s not reporting correctly. We don’t have much control over how commercial plugins operate their updaters.
Support is alive and well, thank you to all for the prompt feedback.
