Funny, that’s what it was designed on. Works fine for me and just about everyone else.
Well I am not sure what might be causing the problem. I have tried to quantify the problem below.
- Action: I log in with an incorrect password
- Result: The page appears to refresh and I get a message that tells me the password was incorrect. I can repeat this process and the same result occurs. This is expected.
- Action: I log in with a correct password
- Result: I am taken to the wp-admin login page. (unexpected)
- Action: re-enter the URL of my site, I do not click back
- Result: I am back at the original page and its showing the login form
- Action: I enter an correct password again
- Result: I am again taken to the wp-admin login page. (unexpected)
- Action: re-enter the URL of my site, I do not click back
- Action: I enter an incorrect password
- Result: The page refreshes and the form indicates that I am logged in. (unexpected)
- Action: I click ‘Log Out’
- I get redirected to page that says ‘You are attempting to log out of mysite’ (unexpected)
- Action: re-enter the URL of my site, I do not click back
- Result: I am back at the original page and its showing the login form
According to this thread here http://wordpress.org/support/topic/225695?replies=8 the ‘You are attempting to log out of mysite’ is caused by a change about Log out mechanism with in 2.7. No idea about the rest of the issues.
I’m using 2.7 and I’m having a similar problem. I use the login widget and I’m transported to the normal WordPress login screen where I have to re-enter my information again.
When I try to logout using the widget I either receive an error message that I’m trying to logout of WordPress or I’m transported back to the dashboard.
The only successful thing that I have been able to do is to register. That went as expected. But the logging in and out is problematic.
If its not a bug in the build there must be something in the configuration that’s causing the problem.
Other then “Works fine for me and just about everyone else.” is there anything else we can look at here?
OK so despite the fact that it “Works fine for me and just about everyone else.” there was an update just realeased, and its now working.
Its a good plug-in, well recommended.
