• I’ve been trying to implement ShadowBox using Custom Fields, but it does not seem to be working.

ShadowBox works perfectly fine when putting the link directly in the post, for example:

    <a href="http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/xa3wyaEe9vE&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0" rel="shadowbox" title="The Corporation Preview">View Video</a>

However, when using this same exact text in one of the custom field boxes below the posting, it goes directly to the video in another window. Interestingly enough, when I use that text in both the post and the custom field, they both work, so I assume it has something to do with ShadowBox not recognizing the ‘rel=”shadowbox”‘ bit inside the custom field.

    Please help!! Thank you! =)

  • I can report the same problem using wp-mu 2.9.1

Even when I add in the rel code to my custom field links, the shadowbox will not show up for images/video added via custom field. Everything does work as expected in posts though.

    Is there a solution available?

it works for me in custom fields but the size of the box comes out wrong (just an aprox. 300px square instead of the proper videosize). Sometimes with some settings it fails completely like described above.
