Plugin Repeatedly Deactivates/Uninstalls Itself
-
I used the Gallery Bank plugin on a customer’s website. The customer called to complain that the gallery had disappeared, and only the shortcode was showing on the page. I checked and the plugin did not seem to be installed, so I reinstalled the plugin, and all was well. Within a couple of weeks, the customer called with the same issue. I had to switch to a different plugin that we don’t like as well, but at least it works. I reinstalled the Gallery Bank plugin (even though we are not using it on the site) to see if the problem would occur again. I just checked to see if it was still there and saw this error: “The plugin gallery-bank/gallery-bank.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.” Has anyone else had this issue? I use the Managed WordPress hosting through GoDaddy. They automatically install WordPress updates (not theme or plugin updates) for me. Could this be contributing to the problem? I haven’t had this issue with any other plugins.
